Go Ask Alice: Authors POV/ lesson of the book

This is a warning: If you are interested in the book DONT READ THIS!! it spoils the ending of the book!! Go read the previous blog to hear more about the book.
To refresh us Go Ask Alice is about a teenage girl who becomes a drug attic, and her miserable life after becoming one. Now that i have finished the book I realized the Authors POV and what he/she ( it was written by anonymous ) is trying to teach us. Don't do drugs, to be entirely honest with you this book scared me sometimes, the book is very descriptive, it felt like you in the book with the main character living her life with her no matter how much you wanted to stop, you just couldn't. In a way the book itself is probably as addicting as a drug.
If I didn't make it clear in the last paragraph this book will scare you out of doing drugs, that is why i believe the lesson of the book is to think twice and don't be impulsive. If you think about it one little game made her into a drug attic. (Here is where the spoiler is) Thats why I was extremely happy when the character became clean, She stopped using drugs after she ended up in a mental hospital. That experience truly taught her how big of a mistake she was making. There was one part of the book that i hated... and the was the epilogue/ending. I say this because the ending she decides not to use her diary anymore, In the epilogue it states that the main character of this book died three weeks after deciding not to use the diary. I don't think i will ever forget the life of the main character and she will alway be in my heart.
