Divergent

               I recently just started reading the book Divergent which is a dystopian novel about a girl who is 16. The world now is divided into factions who all have something they are known for. There is Dauntless: brave, Amity: the peaceful, Candor: the honest, Erudite: the intelligent, and Abnegation: the selfless. You are born into what ever faction your family is in, but at age 16 everyone takes an aptitude test which will narrow down what faction you belong in, but in this girls case the results are different, she has a very rare situation which can be very powerful and extremely dangerous. She is Divergent.

                Although I am only on chapter 2 of this book I can already tell that the main character in this story is having a hard time finding out who she is, since her parents' hopes for her to stay Abnegation is blocking her from the slightest though of changing factions. When her aptitude result comes back as Divergent that means now she has a choice, so will she choose the faction that she wants or the one that her parents and that everyone else would choose for her.
